Happy Birthday, kiddo!

My oldest turned five today. It's such a shock to me that five years ago I was holding her in my arms, a head full of dark hair and looking up at me and wondering who I was, and where I'd brought her. Time flies by so quickly. Seems like yesterday I was trying to get her off the bottle, or potty training her. Now, I have a five year old who tells me she wants to be sixteen and borrow my car! We're going to have some scary teenage years around here. LOL.

Her first question on her birthday was, "Do I get to go to kindergarten today" LOL. She's so ready to grow up. She's my little one who is just like me in so many ways. We're more cautious, get stressed out easily, but we also love big. She loves to read books. She'd let me read to her for hours if I would and even though she can't read yet she'll sit on the couch with a book, flip through the pages and tell herself a story. She's a picky eater like me, loves to laugh and spend time with friends. She's smart, beautiful and can have quite the attitude but so caring at the same time.

I'm so lucky to have her. Happy Birthday, Kiddo!
