Where has the time gone?

Eleven days. It's been eleven days since I posted a blog. Wow. I'm in shock. I had no idea that much time has gone by. Things have been a little out of control for me on the writing front and the person front.

Writing: I'm typing my little fingers off. I'm currently working on two projects at once. I'm writing the second book, under Madison Scott, in my erotic series titled, Bliss. Also, I'm working away on my novel, Falling Pirouettes which won that fancy little finalist picture on the sidebar :) I'm goal is to write at least 1000 words per day. Kind of going for the whole kill two birds with one stone thing because this year I still have to write two novella's and one novel for Parker Publishing (one of them is the third book in the Luciano series. Yay!) So, needless to say, that has been keeping me very, very busy.

On the more personal front: I have an uncle who we haven't seen in 15 years. Sad as it is, these thing happen in families some times. I hate that it happened in ours but it did and there is no going back now. Anyway, my mom had been thinking about him a lot. For some reason she couldn't get him out of her mind so she did a little research and found him. She called him up and they shared tears of joy through the phone. Unfortunately, she found out he has lung cancer. The doctors had only given him 6-12 months to live. Thank GOD he is responding well to chemo and we hope and pray that will buy him more time. Come to find out he had a bucket list, and we were on it. he wanted his family back together as did we. So a couple days ago my uncle, aunt, and cousin made the trip all the way from TN here to California. It's been a really nice visit so far. They're staying with my mom and sister. We went there this weekend, it's about an hour from where we live and tomorrow they're coming to my house to visit. I'm so glad we're able to have this time together and it reminds you what is important in life. Hug your loved ones a little closer, k?

Yay on the writing - you are busy busy!

And that's great that you made contact with your family again. You're so right, it does happen with families. Time gets away from you and next thing you know years have passed since you've seen a relative! I'm visiting family in my hometown in June and I hope to see a lot of them - I miss them.

That's wonderful! It's never too late to work things out. I'm so glad your family had that chance to spend with him. Time does pass quickly...

I was wondering where you were!!

I'm glad your mom and your uncle have made amends. My mother has that issue as well, and things are still not the best.

Woot on all your writing productivity. Send some my way k! :)

I'm glad to see you are back with Kelley! I was getting worried.

I'm happy your mom is getting the chance to chance to reconcile with her brother before it is too late.

Keep up the good work, I can't wait to hear some good news about the two new books.
