Decisions, decisions

My blog has really been lacking in the posting department lately. I've really been trying to get a lot done. I'm working on my first YA and almost finished with it. I have my Madison Scott books to keep up with along with my Kelley Nyrae. I've made some decisions to try and limit my online activity BUT I enjoy talking with everyone so much that I can't give up my blogging all together. Group author blogs seem much easier to me because I have a specific day to blog there every week and hopefully, limiting my posts to one a week I can think of more exciting things to talk about. So, that being said, I've decided I won't be posting here, at least for the next few months. I have three deadlines this year to finish along with my YA and I would at least like to finish one more erotic this year. Please don't leave me hanging. I still want to chat with everyone. You'll be able to find me at the following places EVERY WEEK.

Wednesday I blog at Three Wicked Writers. Between Anne Rainey, Regina Carlysle, and myself there is always something wicked going on over there.

Starting August, 2009 I've joined the gals over at Writers Gone Wild
I'll be blogging there under my erotic name, Madison Scott.

I hope to see you around and I'll still be visiting your blogs as well!!

One Reckless Summer by Toni Blake

The perfect daughter. The perfect prom queen. The perfect wife. Jenny Tolliver’s been the good girl all her life, and it’s gotten her nowhere. Now that her marriage has been busted up by her cheating ex, she’s decided it’s time to regroup and rediscover herself. This summer she’s headed back to her hometown of Destiny, Ohio, to the very lakeshore cottage where she grew up, to figure out what life holds in store for her next.

She never dreamed the answer would be Mick Brody, Destiny’s #1 hellraiser. He comes from the wrong side of the tracks (or in his case, the lake), and he’s landed in hot water more times than he can count. He’s exactly the kind of guy Jenny’s always kept her distance from … but soon the good girl and the bad boy are caught in a raw heat that’s out of control. Too bad Mick’s got a secret that threatens to tear them apart and ruin Jenny’s perfectly, passionately reckless summer …

Every time I pick up a Toni Blake book I can count on three things. The first is an enchanting story that draws me in and doesn't let me go until long after I finish the book. The second is an emotionally woven story. I laugh, I cry, and cheer them on and my heart does a little pitter patter when the main characters are together. Last but not least, I can always count on a passionate, sexy read. Sex scenes that not only make you burn up, but are written with such passion that you connect with the characters on a whole different level. One Reckless Summer was that and so much more.

I really related to Jenny's character. In so many ways, I've always been the good girl myself and I've always felt there are certain things expected of me. Its hard when you feel you aren't, or don't always want to be that person. Jenny is going through a major life change and in the midst of all these feelings comes along Mick. The bad boy. The kind of boy a girl like her shouldn't be with...except...she wants him.

Toni writes tortured, bad boys like no body's business. Mick is perhaps the baddest of them all. His secret shouldn't be easy to get past, and his past shouldn't be hard to ignore, only it is. I felt for this man. I wanted him to have those dreams he'd always longed for but never thought he was good enough to have. Had he made mistakes, yep but people can change and he did. Toni has an incredible ability to dig deep inside you and pull at your heartstrings. Even when some of the sex scenes are more gritty, and raw, they always have that much needed emotional edge that I need so much. Mick was rough, but soft at the same time. He'd been bad but he wanted to be good. How can you not fall in love with a guy like that?

One Reckless Summer is a passionate, sexy, HOT and beautiful story that has its own special spot carved not only on my keeper shelf, but in my heart. I can't wait to take another trip to Destiny Ohio in the future.
